Week 6 picks

Week 6 and the NFL and I feel about as good about my picks as I do about Amy Winehouse’s decision making ability.

Instead of doing these inane power rankings, I decided to just get to the games. Translation: I got lazy, and I just want to talk about the games.

Saints (-7) over Raiders- I woulnd’t give the NO defense any credit except, they are playing an offenset hat doesn’t trust the QB. Until they prove they will allow the guy who can throw 60 yards from his knees, a pass beyond a simple slant for five yards then perhaps I will give them credit.

Colts (-4.5) over Ravens- Something tells me that the Colts are due their first victory here. Or I’m just an idiot SOB that hasn’t watched a single snap of the 08 Colts.

Jets (-5.5) over Bengals- the Bengals have been good against the spread, but they have both been double digit spreads. The Bengals have the weapons to stay in this game but the Jets are playing too well.

Panthers (+1.5) over Bucs- Vegas wants you to go Bucs, but I don’t like the Bucs and I say screw Vegas!

Falcons (+2.5) over Bears- Does anyone else see the parallels between Vick and Matt Ryan and Avon Barksdale and Marlo Stansfield once Vick gets out of prison? Anyway, I pick the Falcons to win this game.

Vikings (-13) over Lions- I wouldn’t pick the Vikings with this kind of point spread but then I realize they have Gus Frerrote, against a horrible defense, and we saw that Frerrote can make horrible defenses pay. Boy, on the list of sentences that I would NEVER say, that was up there.

Dolphins (+3) over Texans- Did I hear correct? That Matt Schaub was out because he wasn’t feeling well? If that’s true, how many teammates in that locker room respect him? Better yet, who respects Sage Rosenfels after his Elway like helicopter move last week? When your team gives up 21 points in a matter of 4 minutes, you know they aren’t good and well I am really going with this Miami bandwagon right now.

Broncos (-3) over Jaguars- Something tells me that the loss against the Steelers carries over this week.

Redskins (-13.5) over Rams- This line isn’t high enough. If this were 20 I would still go Redskins.

Niners (+4.5) over Eagles- I don’t’ like a team that repeatedly can’t put the ball in the endzone when they are in the red area of the field. Going Niners and that offense. Did I mention that Westbrook isn’t playing?

Cardinals (+5.5) over Cowboys- People might think this is just anti Dallas bias. I just don’t like the message that the Cowboys sent by not sitting PacMan. On the list of stupid things this guy has done, fighting your own security guard is very high on the list. I knew the marriage was just going too perfectly to not get messed up eventually.

Packers (+2.2) over Seahawks- how can you pick the seahawks when you saw what happened against the Giants? Mind you the Packers are not the Giants, but still. Really?

Chargers (-6) over Patriots- wow, when was the last time you picked a Norv Turner coached team over a Bill Belichiek coached team? Incredible. Parity everybody!

Giants (-8) over Browns- Really? Talking trash is your way of psyching out the defending Super Bowl teams? Calling Brandon Jacobs soft? I guess you have to go great lengths and defy logic to get yourself up for a game on Monday Night against the defending Super Bowl champs. I’m just going to keep typing Super Bowl champs. I love writing Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
